Incense is an important tool you might want to include in your Poppet Magick practice. Many cultures have for centuries believed that the smoke from Incense carries your prayer or spell/Will up to the heavens where it is then sent out to accomplish its purpose. I like to use Incense to symbolically and ceremonially "baptize" the poppet in the name of the targetted individual - thus creating a magickal link between the two.
