Herbs have been used since the beginning of time for their medicinal and magickal properties. In Poppet Magick, the use of herbs is probably one of the best tools you'll ever use. I would recommend you use the appropriate herbs as added stuffing to your Poppet (in addition to cotton, rags, ect.). However, some practitioners prefer to pin or glue the herb onto the Poppet. I personally like the stuffing method, as it looks more clean to the eye. However, feel free to to pick whatever fits your taste. Below you'll see a few Characteristics and their corresponding herbs. If you can't find one herb, then try one of the others. Sometimes herbs are out of season or go by different names, so don't limit your knowledge to just a few. Become familiar with as many herbs as possible in order to make your herb-hunting experience less tedious when substitution is called for.
